Two in a day!!!, Finally!!!the plan has worked out, One of the best evenings :-)

Does the title seems to be long? yeah! I feel the same too. But I have to tell u guys abt three incongruent things that happened back to back. I thought, I would write them separately, but according to my blogging schedule I am supposed to give a considerable time gap between two posts n if I do so, I might forget to tell u guys abt the remaining two. Ok!

Number 1: First time in my life, might be the last time too!, I watched two movies in the theatre on the same day (12:30 AM n 7:40PM). I used to call it insane/joblessness when ppl does it. Finally I need to call myself too. But, one right thing that I did was choosing 2 English movies. Thank god! I didn't choose Bollywood/Kollywood movies (I am talking in terms of time duration. I love them too!!, the good ones though) else I would have spent 6 hrs in front of the big screen. I learnt my lesson: I felt so irritated that I was felling so tired without doing anything. I am not gonna watch 2 movies on the same day in the theatreeeeeeeeee!

Number 2: Yeah! the plan to go out with the gang finally worked out. I am kind off person (that's wat I think!), when something is planned, would like to stick to it, unless and until some major issue has occurred. Yes, I still call it a gang though only 4 had turned up. Pulau ubin - The place meant primarily for cycling was scheduled. It was awesome! riding the cycle on the terrain covered on both sides with dense trees n the buzzing sound :-) It was Bliss riding down the slope; it felt as if the plane was abt to take off ( ps: if u wanna feel the Bliss, u first need to ride up the hill :-) ). Photos, if I still remember, will post next time.

Number 3: After 3 hrs of cycling came back home. I though will have a nice sleep before I leave for dinner. But, I managed only a small nap :( Dinner @ .. how do I describe this person whom I am going to meet for the first time n who has called me for dinner... mmm. Ok, we shall call it a veryyyyyyy veryyyy distant relative ( The Logic : Every one in this world are related to each other in some way or the other :-) ) I was initially skeptical abt the dinner. I thought it would be the usual dinner along with few small talks: Silently thinking for 15 mins before asking something to break the silence. But it all vanished within few mins after I met them. There was absolutely no small talks, no gossips, no nonsense. Everyone gathered were talking as if each one of us knew each other for a very long time. Topics from culture to Environmental issues were spoken. " we are all observers n not judges" : I loved this one, which came up when talking different cultures. I totally totally loved it! Dinner was simple and delicious. I ate so much, but still I didn't feel the heaviness in my tummy (Ok, I know wat u guys r thinking :P) You guys know my capacity :p, but still, it was ONLY because of the awesome food :- Pls agree!! I want to compliment the food) The last one was never expected: a game of cards at 9:30 PM, felt I was back home. Sorry, Correction back in my native, when ppl gather for marriages. After a really long time, 8 of us played cards together. Two words to describe it - it was "Super Fun". One of the best evenings!!!!

Mission Started!

Jus came back from a party and the first thing I am doing is posting this blog. Wat a place to celebrate the party - BBQ pit jus by the side of a huge swimming pool and the soothing sound of the fountains on both sides!. I have been to 4-5 condos in Singapore, but I felt this one was The Best among them. Wat a place to live! There was loads of food, drinks, ppl including this American couple I met. Speaking to them rekindled few of my aspirations in my life -Travelling and Eating different cuisines ! They were talking to us abt the places they have visited so far n in fact it's been 7 years since they had been to their home land. At least not to that extend, but I would surely like to travel to different places. Along with the travel story came the authentic cuisines that they have been enjoying in those places. I was awestruck - During the conversation one of my colleague asked them whether they had tried out a particular restaurant. The couple opened up their bag n took out a PDA and noted down the restaurant n said that will be the next place to visit. Later heard that the PDA was the most treasured one - It had all the restaurants in different parts of world where u get sumptuous, authentic food. I thought abt my word doc that I used for noting down the various restaurants and cuisine that I have tried - The list is so small! :(

Now I take a vow that I will travel more n make sure the list increases at a steady rate!

Atlast, I got wat "Tagged" means. I was getting loads of msgs sayin "u r tagged" n didnt understand y. All kudos to Danny who deciphered it for me n tagged me :).

This is gonna take some time for me.

1. When I was born , I fitted the cradle jus rt n got a compliment from the nurse that I wud grow very tall.

2. Until my second grade I always used to get confused between b and d. Infact when I was asked to write dog, I wrote bog :-D

3. My first crush wud date back to grade 4 n from then on it increased exponentially :)

4. If somebody needs to flatter me all it takes is jus to feed me with sumptuous food. I am a tot Foodie :-D

5. The most imp things in life are my family n my friends.

6. When I was a kid I aspired to be a doctor, cardiac surgeon to be specific. I had been to a pt where I had my name card typed using my gran pa's typewritter.

7. I was quite famous for my English skills untill my 12th grade, rather college 1st year (for the wrong reasons). All i do when i think abt it is LOL.

8. The most scintillating moment for me was when i played the inter college basket ball finals in front of my entire college crowd. I still cherish that :)

Not bad, I am quiet fast :-0 , 30 mins of brainstorming got me till here. Jus one more :-D

9. Until few months back i thought i was suffering from acrophobia n later realized that it wasnt fear of heights rather fear of falling(climacophobia). Sometimes, even When i walk on a raised platform, I wud fear I am gonna fall:)

A trip to Goa!

Its been 2 years of pondering about a trip to Goa with my cronies.It has always been in the planning stage due to lil time I get to stay in India. The threshold of waiting crossed its limit today while chatting with my friend. He knows how eager I was abt the trip to goa when I had been to India the last time. Everyone tried their best to make it but finally they didn't want to disappoint me n arranged for a trip to Pondy. My dear ones had to change their schedule, go out of their way, travel from diff parts of South India. Finally the gang met in Pondy. One of my friend went to the pt of taking a lift from Madurai to chennai @midnight!!!. It was indeed a great gesture! Ok guys next time I will plan my trip ahead n will let u know in advance so that we can all make it to Goa. Bike riding in the night with head lights off!, partying in the beach! liquid dieting n all night chatting n sleeping on the beach. Jus cant wait!!

Past few evenings thats wat I have been doing. Some how wanted to play Happy bday with my guitar. Thought of a std question from someone who knows that i am playing Guitar( correction: going for classes). I thought I will impress them by playing this song. I ended up singing the song along with my guitar skills(if u call them skills:P). The song is copyrighted and higly encrypted/ciphered..:P, so u cannot download from the internet/crack it n listen to it. But I have made it available to my dear friends. So all u need to do is drop in an email/drop in a request comment n I will send u the file personally with the modification in the line " happy birthday dear ......".

I can understand how eager u guys r to listen to the song, u r jus an email away :)

Ps: For guys n gals going on a date, who want to impress their partner we can sit n work together something better lol

Nostalgic!!!

Tring tring. +91...... :-D call from India (wat a feeling!) In a subdued tone, I said Hello! (had to curb my excitement, as I was @ work) Can I speak to Lakshman (trying to hide the identity by being formal ???) that is impossible Shyam. You n being formal are a way apart! The updates from both of us started to roll down when the Weekend story came up. Bike ride,Juice @ FruitShop, movie (Namesake) with the gang. Then came the review of Namesake in the typical Shyam's flair. Missing it!!!!! Though he didnt continue for long cos he had to mention abt this gal, whom he says is talking to him for hrs over the phone (International call- has to be noted). When asked for further details, there comes the reply stop ur imagination!, She is my collegue n we talk over office matters (I guess the gang does not believe) Shyam u have still not convinced the gang!

So tell me wats the hot news ???

Hey Headlines : we are gonna party for three months.

three months?? yeah! Subu's parents are going overseas. So now we have the house, the car, the bike n wat more we are also in Chennai. (Hope u guys dont bring the ceiling down) This is getting me a lil nostalgic Shyam. once a banal activity (stay over) has now become something unusual.there comes the reply hey!! if u r planning to come to India, come during these three months. wish I cud.

Life is to run … run faster

Wake up in the morning run to the restroom to reserve a seat before ur roommate
Run to the room, drying area in search of a dress to wear ( I meant ur own dress)
Run to the kitchen to get ur cornflakes n milk
Run to catch the bus that will be leaving at the sight of u
Run to the office sweating as if ur coming out straight from the gym

Keep running …………………..



p.s: But do take a break. Go out for a vacation n jus relax.
You would actually start appreciating both ends of life

Looking Back 2006

It was a year that I need to keep in my bank locker. Its been a complete turn around for me. rt from the word go. There were loads of things happened that I had never ever expected. It has made me change my conception abt everything in life. Oh my god!. It was an amazing learning curve. There were lots of things to be learnt, abt work, ppl, abt myself! First beach party, completed my coursework, first interview call, followed by more applications for job n few more interview calls then finally landed with my first job, first sal, met loads of ppl got close to few of them, my first musical instrument, first trip to Malaysia n loads of mistake I had made from which I have learnt more abt myself :)

Living with a Mask

World is fast changing, it’s a known fact. To cope up with the change, people need to change, a fact that’s been told by a lot. Consequence of this is people tend to project a different image which is truly unlike them, rather than to change themselves to adapt to the new situation.

Not all of us can identify the true image of a person. Most times a person’s physical expression and his inner expressions are contradictory. A Person who might seem to be happy and enjoying life might be crying and worrying about his life inside.
A person who might seem to be care free about everything might be very sensitive and emotional inside.

It is a nice way to battle a new situation. But one can never hide his true self for a long time. This is where people close to you, who care for you and who can be trusted come handy. Spend time with them express all your feelings and let out all your emotions. It is always better to let out rather than to keep piling up which might turn dangerous.
